In short
- PaySmart never asks for your card number, CVV, expiry date, PIN, OTP or bank login.
- We don't collect your name, email, phone number or location.
- We store only the card names you choose and the savings you log, linked to an anonymous ID.
- We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Who we are
PaySmart is an app made by M/s Sahaj Technologies, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information PaySmart handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the PaySmart app and to this website.
Information we collect
PaySmart works without knowing who you are. The only information we store is what you choose to enter:
- Your cards: the bank and card type you select (for example, HDFC credit card) and the card variant (for example, Millennia or Regalia).
- Your savings log: entries you create yourself to track the savings you made using offers.
- Offers you submit: if you share an offer with the community, the offer details you enter.
- An anonymous user ID: a random ID created by the app so your cards and savings log stay linked to your device. It does not identify you.
Like any online service, our servers may also record basic technical information when the app connects, such as IP address, device type and the time of the request. We use this only to keep the service running and secure, and do not use it to identify you.
Information we never collect
- Card numbers, CVV, expiry dates, PINs or OTPs
- Net banking or UPI login details
- Your name, email address, phone number or contacts
- Your location
- Your SMS messages or bank statements
How we use your information
- To show you card offers that match the cards you selected
- To keep and display your savings log
- To review offers you submit before they are shown to other users
- To fix problems and protect the service from misuse
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we need to run PaySmart, and only for that purpose:
- Render.com, which hosts our servers and database.
If PaySmart introduces paid features, payments will be handled by a licensed payment partner. Your card or bank details go directly to that partner and are never seen or stored by us.
We may disclose information if the law or a government authority in India requires it.
How we protect it
Your data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored in a secured cloud database with restricted access. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will inform affected users and authorities of any data breach as required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your cards and savings log for as long as you use PaySmart. If you stop using the app, or ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days. Offers you submitted may stay visible to other users, since they contain no personal information.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- ask what information we hold about you
- ask us to correct or delete it
- raise a complaint about how we handle it
To make a request, email us and include your anonymous user ID from the app so we can find your data. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
PaySmart is meant for adults who hold credit or debit cards. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PaySmart changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes, we will also let you know inside the app.
